What about the (regular) flu
Friday, February 25, 2005

Now that the election is just a dull ache in half this country's hearts the flu vaccine hullabaloo has faded. It's still interesting to see how the disease is actually progressing and the CDC makes that easy to do. Here is an animated GIF showing this season's spread (green and yellow are good; blue and red are bad).

I'm no graphics artist (and if you didn't know that before, you do now ) but it's clear that the season has hit most of the country pretty hard. The CDC's weekly summary has more details and this graph makes it seem that we still have a ways to go before the achy season is behind us.
