John Kerry
Friday, September 3, 2004

(Update)

Regardless of your political affiliation, it's hard to disagree with the statement that the Bush re-election campaign uses the politics of fear, anger, vitriol and distortion. I'm not a fan of Bush (far from it) and I'm happy that John Kerry is finally making his own case:

"For three days in New York, instead of talking about jobs and the economy, we heard anger and insults from the Republicans. And I'll tell you why. It's because they can't talk about the real issues facing Americans. They can't talk about their record because it's a record of failure. I believe it's time to move America in a new direction; I believe it's time to set a new course for America." - John Kerry, September 3, 2004

I hope that we can start talking about the issues facing our country (war, Iraq, poverty, social justice, civil rights for all, health care) instead of futzing around making random accusations about things that happened 40-years ago.
