A nice panel discussion from ETech 2005 between Joshua Schachter (, Stewart Butterfield (Flickr), Jimmy Wales (Wikipedia) and Clay Shirky (educator and technology malcontent (in a good way!)). I appreciated the insightful and obvious in hindsight distinction between:

  • your data for you (Flickr)
  • your data for everyone (Wikipedia)
  • other people's data for you (

It's well worth hearing if you think this stuff is cool.
